Most office moves in Long Beach are small to mid-size: a law office in a Downtown tower, a medical or dental suite, a design studio, a retail shop on 2nd Street or Retro Row. These moves usually need to happen outside business hours, through a loading dock, with a building manager who wants a COI and a specific window.

Planning an office move

1. Get building requirements early. Loading dock hours, elevator reservations and insurance certificates for both locations.
2. Label by destination. Every box and piece of furniture gets a room or desk number that matches a floor plan for the new space.
3. Handle IT yourself or with your IT provider. Have staff back up and disconnect computers; we wrap and move the hardware.
4. Move in phases if needed. Larger offices can move department by department to keep the business running.

Ask when you request an estimate. Weekend and evening moves are the most common way to avoid closing during business hours.

Do you disconnect computers and phones?

We wrap and move all equipment safely. Disconnecting and reconnecting networks, servers and phone systems is best done by your staff or IT provider.
