Moving questions
Straight answers to what people ask us most. Don't see yours? Call, any time.
How do I get an estimate?
Fill out the estimate form or call (818) 270-7259. Tell us both addresses, the home size, stairs or elevators at each end, parking, large items and your date. We'll send a free written estimate.
Why do you ask so many questions about access?
Because access decides how long a move takes more than distance does. Stairs, elevators, long carries and parking can double the time of a move. Asking up front is how the estimate stays accurate.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. Estimates are free and there's no obligation to book.
Are you licensed?
Yes. All Way Moving Long Beach operates under USDOT number 4114509.
How far ahead should I book?
A few weeks ahead is a good rule, especially for weekends, the end of the month and summer. Shorter notice is often possible, so call and ask.
When are you available?
We're open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Call any time to ask questions or book.
Do you protect furniture?
Yes. Furniture is padded with moving blankets and stretch-wrapped before it leaves the room, and we use floor runners and door-frame protection along the route where it's needed.
Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes. Beds, tables, wardrobes, shelving and similar pieces are taken apart and rebuilt when they need to be. Tell us about large or complicated pieces in your estimate request.
Can you pack for me?
Yes. We offer full and partial packing, and unpacking at the new home. Many people pack clothes and books themselves and have us pack the kitchen and fragile items.
My building needs a certificate of insurance. Can you handle that?
Yes. Send us building management's contact and exact requirements when you book, and we'll coordinate the certificate before moving day.
Can you move just a few items?
Yes. Single items, a few large pieces or a single room are all welcome. Choose "A few items" on the estimate form.
What areas do you serve?
All of Long Beach plus Signal Hill, Lakewood, Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, San Pedro, Carson and nearby cities. See service areas.
What should I do to prepare?
Pack and label boxes, reserve elevators and parking, empty dresser drawers of anything heavy or fragile, and keep valuables, documents, medications and a first-night bag with you. See our moving checklist.
